Need a permit for a wooden carport?
In many cases, a carport made of wood is permit-free - provided it is no higher than 3 metres and smaller than 30 m² in the rear yard area. Nevertheless, it is important to have this properly checked. The rules differ from one municipality to another and some locations have additional requirements from the zoning plan or the aesthetics committee. Moreover, additional studies may be required, such as a flora and fauna analysis or nitrogen calculations.

How much space do I need for a carport?
For a single carport, you need at least 3 x 6 metres (18 m²). Double carports take up more space. We will be happy to advise you based on your situation.
Can I also connect a charging station to it?
Yes, our wooden carports are excellent for combining with a charging station for your electric car. This is taken into account directly in the design.
Is wood high-maintenance?
