SPRILA and SPULA: subsidy schemes for charging infrastructure

What is the SPRILA grant?

The Private Charging Infrastructure at Businesses (SPRILA) subsidy scheme offers entrepreneurs financial support for installing charging stations on their own premises. SPRILA consists of two components: Opinion and Construction.

SPRILA Advice

• Companies receive 50% of consultancy fees back.
• A maximum of €3,500 applies.
• Only applications after 1 April 2024 are eligible, if approved by the Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland (RVO).

SPRILA Construction

• The grant covers basic charging infrastructure, including cabling and main connection.
• Both DC charging stations (min. 20 kW) and AC charging stations (min. 11 kW) are eligible.
• The installation must include a minimum of four charging points. AC charging stations of 43 kW and above are also eligible.

A company can receive up to €350.000 received. For applications above €25,000, a stationary battery is possible. This stabilises the charging station and reduces energy costs in the long term.

What does the SPULA grant offer?

The Public Charging Infrastructure for Heavy Transport (SPULA) grant scheme supports companies in installing charging stations in public locations. The grant focuses on heavy transport sectors such as transport and logistics.

• Charging stations from 200 to 350 kW are eligible for a grant of €19.000.
• Charging stations from 350 kW received €43.000 to subsidy.
• An additional allowance of up to €80 per kWh is possible for a stationary battery. This reduces dependence on the grid and captures peak loads.
• A maximum of three subsidies can be provided per postcode area. This promotes a balanced distribution of charging stations across the country.
