Bicycle shed with solar panels and charging facilities in Heerhugowaard

Shift to Solar realised a sustainable solar bicycle parking facility in Heerhugowaard in July 2025. Equipped with 16 450 Wp solar panels, this 14-metre-wide steel structure not only provides safe and covered parking, but also generates sustainable energy. In addition, four charging boxes have been installed, allowing a total of sixteen electric bicycles to be charged simultaneously. This makes optimal use of the solar power generated. Sustainable mobility and energy generation The 16 solar panels are expected to produce 6,300 kWh of clean energy annually. This results in COâ‚‚ savings of about 1.39 tonnes per year, equivalent to driving a petrol car 9,250 kilometres or planting about 69 trees annually. This combination of energy generation and charging facilities contributes to a future-proof cycling and charging infrastructure for residents and visitors. Need help with your solar solution? Solar panels and charging poles at campsite Sie Es An in Balkbrug

Shift to Solar realised a renewable energy solution at Camping Sie Es An in Balkbrug at the beginning of June 2025. Forty-nine 450 Wp solar panels were installed on the flat roof of one of the buildings. This was followed later in the month by the installation of six charging poles on the site. The charging posts are all linked to a back office system. As a result, charging is automatically charged on a business basis, making management for the campsite simple and efficient. Sustainable energy and smart mobility The 49 solar panels are expected to generate 19,300 kWh per year. This will result in COâ‚‚ savings of 4.25 tonnes per year. That is equivalent to about 28,300 kilometres of driving a petrol car or the annual planting of about 212 trees. Thanks to the combination of solar energy and charging facilities, Camping Sie Es An is taking a big step towards a future-proof and sustainable holiday park. Need help with your solar solution? Two solar bicycle sheds for Nijhuis Bouw in Rijssen

On the premises of Nijhuis Bouw B.V. in Rijssen, two sustainable Solar bicycle sheds have been installed. The robust structures are made entirely of steel tubes measuring 140 × 70 mm with a wall thickness of 5 mm and are supplied as a complete unit. Thanks to welded sketch plates at the bottom, the stands are easy to place on concrete piles and adjust precisely. Each shed is equipped with high-quality Tier 1 solar panels for maximum lifetime, low degradation and optimum yield. The installation is fully assembled and connected, including integration into the SolarEdge monitoring portal, so that performance can be easily tracked down to panel level. Sustainable solar veranda for football club in Zwolle

In collaboration with Veldman Techniek, we installed a durable steel solar veranda at a football club in Zwolle. The canopy is 16 metres wide and fitted with 42 solar panels, which means it generates green energy as well as shelter for spectators. This allows visitors to comfortably enjoy matches on the pitch, while the club actively contributes to a more sustainable future. Environmental gain The expected annual production of this installation is 15,449 kWh, resulting in CO₂ savings of 6.3 tonnes per year. For comparison: Benefits of this project ✔ Strong steel construction - provides a robust and durable canopy✔ Sustainable energy production - 42 solar panels generate 15,449 kWh annually✔ Spectator comfort - covered seating for a pleasant viewing experience✔ Significant CO₂ reduction - 6.3 tonnes less CO₂ emissions per year Curious about the possibilities for your project? Feel free to contact us! Together, we will look at the best sustainable solution for your situation.

Mobile steel carport for Ministry of Defence Naval Base Den Helder

In January 2025, in collaboration with metalworking company Nijenkamp, we realised a mobile steel carport at the Defence site Marinehaven in Den Helder. Thanks to its flexible design, no permit is needed, making this solution immediately applicable. Flexible and sustainable energy solution The solar carport is equipped with four heavy-duty castors, making it easy to move. The roof is finished with trapezoidal profiles, which ensure a waterproof construction and protection against weather conditions. The 9 integrated 440 Wp solar panels generate renewable energy, which is used to produce hydrogen. Sustainable impact Thanks to this installation, 1.35 tonnes of CO₂ will be saved annually. This is equivalent to: 3,366 kWh expected annual energy production, contributing to the sustainability of Defence. Advantages of this project: ✔ Mobile construction - easily movable, no permit required✔ Weatherproof finish - sheet piling profiles provide protection✔ Sustainable energy generation - supports hydrogen production✔ CO₂ savings - contributes to the energy transition Curious about what a solar carport could mean for your project? Solar bicycle parking in Ghent

Shift to Solar has realised an innovative and sustainable solution on the outskirts of Ghent: a steel bicycle shed with integrated bicycle rack and solar panels. This installation not only provides safe storage for bicycles, but also generates and stores sustainable energy for optimal use. Smart energy solution for bicycle infrastructure On the roof of the solar bicycle shed are 20 powerful 450 Wp solar panels, which are expected to generate 8,100 kWh of clean energy annually. The generated energy is used directly thanks to a GoodWe 6 kW hybrid inverter and a 6.6 kW GoodWe Lynx Home battery, enabling sustainable storage and smart energy management. This makes it not only an environmentally friendly, but also an efficient solution for energy generation and use. Thanks to this innovative installation, annual savings of 3.2 to 3.7 tonnes of CO₂ are achieved. This equates to: Maximum space utilisation and sustainable impact The steel construction provides robust and weatherproof protection for bikes, while the integrated solar system contributes to the environment's CO₂ reduction targets. This makes the solar bicycle shelter an ideal solution for locations where sustainability and space efficiency go hand in hand. Benefits of this project: ✔ Sustainable energy solution for cyclists and businesses✔ Optimal use of space with

Two Solar bicycle sheds at Windesheim Zwolle

Shift to Solar realised two sustainable Solar bicycle sheds for Christelijke Hogeschool Windesheim in Zwolle. These robust steel structures have integrated solar panels, allowing cyclists to charge their e-bikes directly with solar energy. The design is stylishly powder-coated in a RAL colour of your choice and offers multiple charging stations per stand. The charging stations feature connections for various e-bike systems, including Shimano and Bosch, and are equipped with Schuko 230V sockets. Solar carport for apartment complex in Strijen

Shift to Solar has realised a sustainable solution for a site where flats are being built. Here, a custom-made solar carport was installed, suitable for 7 parking spaces. The carport, with a width of almost 20 metres, accommodates 51 420 Wp glass-glass solar panels, which are expected to generate 19.86 MWh of energy annually. This will contribute to saving 9.94 tonnes of COâ‚‚, equivalent to planting 456 trees annually. Smart energy solution for limited roof space The carport is made of powder-coated steel in RAL 1035 Gloss colour and was installed on a foundation prepared by the contractor, P.&G. Hooghwerff, was prepared. This added extra capacity to the PV system, an ideal solution for locations where roof space is in short supply. Thanks to this installation, Shift to Solar is contributing to making the apartment complex more sustainable and meeting COâ‚‚ reduction targets.
