Please note that our products and installation services are specifically tailored for customers in the Netherlands and Belgium. With a solar veranda, you will not only enjoy the sun for longer, but also benefit from the yield! From connecting the inverter to building the canopy itself, Shift to Solar provides the complete package.
Energy is becoming increasingly expensive. More and more people are therefore choosing to invest in solar panels. Not just on the roof of their home, but also on a canopy or veranda. For those who have a roof that is not suitable for solar panels, a solar veranda offers an alternative route to a more sustainable home.
Shift to Solar's solar porch is fully customisable to your needs, with a guarantee on both the materials used and the solar panels. We use only the highest quality glass-glass solar panels. Whereas other panels often have a plastic backing, these consist entirely of glass. This keeps the energy yield optimal for longer.
A veranda made of wood has a natural look that many people like. We can attach it to the house, but a free-standing porch is also an option. With additions such as a fireplace or patio heating, the veranda becomes a cosy place even during the cooler months, allowing you to enjoy the garden even longer.
Shift to Solar delivers customised solutions. This means we talk to you about what best suits your home. Whether you want a veranda attached to your house or a freestanding canopy, we will be happy to advise you on the best solution. Together, we provide a tailor-made plan.
The quality of solar panels can vary greatly, and you naturally want the solar panels on your veranda or canopy to last as long as possible. At Shift to Solar, we use the highest quality glass-glass solar panels. Where other panels often have a plastic backing, these consist entirely of glass. Transparent glass-glass panels therefore achieve a 25% higher energy yield and have a 30-year product warranty.
In many cases, you have no licence required. A free-standing patio covering in the Netherlands may be a maximum of 3 metres high, permit-free. If you place the patio covering at home, it may extend a maximum of 0.3 metres above the first floor, with a maximum height of 4 metres. However, it is always advisable to check with your municipality for specific regulations. We can support in applying for a permit for an overhang.
Yes, we offer customisation options and are happy to think along with you. Customisation means that we like to think along with the customer's wishes and in this we can make any adjustments or additions to our standard offer. The veranda can be made at home or stand alone. It is important that we can guarantee 100% quality. Not everything can be realised in reality, but we are always open to ideas.
Nine 450Wp glass-glass solar panels fit on a Solar Veranda. Together, these solar panels can generate a maximum annual output of about 4,050 kWh. Exactly how much you save depends on your energy consumption and the location of the veranda. For most households, this is enough to reduce a significant part of the energy bill.
